李华教授简历
Richard Li-Hua, PhD,
is Director of China Programmes at Newcastle
Business School, Northumbria University, where
he teaches and researches strategic challenge
and management, sustainable development,
knowledge management and strategy of
international technology transfer in PhD, DBA
and MBA programmes. As China Advisor to Emerald,
the world’s leading publisher of management
journals and databases, he has been leading
Emerald’s China Strategy in launching and
managing a number of international journals,
including:
Journal of Chinese Entrepreneurship
www.emeraldinsight.com/info/journals/jce/jourinfo.jsp
Journal of Know Based Innovation in China,
www.emeraldinsight.com/info/journals/jkic/eabinfo.jsp
He is Editor of Journal of Technology
Management in China (www.emeraldinsight.com/info/journals/jtmc.jsp)
and Co Editor in Chief of Journal of Chinese
Economics and Foreign Trade Study (www.emeraldinsight.com/info/journals/jcefts.jsp).
Richard is also Founder and current President of
China Association for Management of Technology (www.camot.org).
He publishes widely and is an internationally
recognized authority on strategy of
international technology transfer. His research
interests currently lie in technology management
and strategy, in particular, the effectiveness
and appropriateness of technology and knowledge
transfer in China. He advises not only
international business, but also the higher
education sector and government agencies. He was
Chairman and CEO of Henan Yuxin International
Economic and Technical Cooperation Corporation
and Managing Director of Henan-European
Information Centre before he joined Northumbria
University between 1995 -1997. As a researcher
and business consultant, he has long been
involved in managing corporate partnerships,
strategic planning and implementation,
international marketing research, business
development and contract negotiation for his
previous Chinese and current UK employer. He has
been Senior Economic Advisor to the Henan
Provincial Government, China and International
Advisor to ARMCO, Saudi Arabia since 2003. He is
now visiting professor to a dozen universities
both in China and in the West and invited
speaker to international conferences.
The workshops on technology transfer and
strategy that he delivered to Henan Development
and Reform Commission, Liaoning Science and
Technology Department and Ningxia Science and
Technology Department, Ministry of Commerce, PRC
were extremely welcome and highly praised. These
technical officials, who have been in post for
over 30 years in managing technology, technology
transfer, import and export of technology,
strongly believe that the workshops have
addressed the crucial issues and key components
of technological capacity building, which has
been preoccupied with academia and the
politicians. His recent seminars on Benchmarking
China Firm Competitiveness delivered at Antai
Management School, Shanghai Jiao Tong
University; School of Public Management,
Zhejiang University, Business School, Nanjing
University; School of Economics and Management,
Tsinghua University, and Management of
Technology Study Centre, University of
International Business and Economics; on
addressing why China’s technology strategy of
obtaining technology by sacrificing its market
partly failed is genuinely thought provoking,
which has attracted great attention from
academia, politicians and practitioner.
